Is there a theatre on board and are there wheelchair spaces?

Yes, there is a theatre on board each of our ships.

Arcadia - The Palladium – Located on the Promenade, F & G decks with 736 seats

Wheelchair Spaces - There is access on all our decks to the Palladium Theatre where you can enjoy the evening entertainment. However, the designated area for the wheelchairs is on F Deck along with signs for wheelchair companions. There is also signs down on the starboard and port side of G Deck, if you feel more comfortable entering the Palladium Theatre that way.

We want everyone to enjoy a comfortable performance. So, here’s what you need to know before the lights go down.

  • You can watch from your wheelchair or mobility scooter – there are designated spaces at the back of the theatre on decks 2 and 3 that give you a great view.
  • Travelling companions can sit nearby – feel free to use the back row of seats on decks 2 and 3.
  • Guests with limited mobility – the back row of seats on decks 2 and 3 are easier to access if you feel you need this. Easy-access seats are limited, so we would kindly ask that you only use one if you really need to.
  • Please note, reserving seats is not permitted in any venue.


Finally, for everyone’s safety, please stay in your seats until the house lights go up at the end of the show.

 

Aurora - The Curzon Theatre - Located on the Promenade Deck with 668 seats

Wheelchair Spaces - There is one ramp that allows access to the port and starboard side of Prom Deck with parking access for four wheelchairs and three seats on each side. These seats are labelled as reserved. E Deck has direct access from the port and starboard side and has 12 seats with space to fit a wheelchair next to each seat. These seats will be labelled as reserved.

We want everyone to enjoy a comfortable performance. So, here’s what you need to know before the lights go down.

  • You can watch from your wheelchair or mobility scooter – there are dedicated bays in front of the sound and light booth that give you a great view.
  • Travelling companions can sit nearby – feel free to use the seats marked with white covers at the back of the theatre.
  • Guests with limited mobility – the seats with white covers are easier to access if you feel you need this. You’ll find this seating in the first four rows at the back of the theatre. Easy-access seats are limited, so we would kindly ask that you only use one if you really need to.
  • Please note, reserving seats is not permitted in any venue.

Azura - The Playhouse – Located on the Promenade and F Deck with 788 seats

Britannia - Headliners Theatre - Located on Deck 6 and 7 with 980 seats

Wheelchair Spaces - Deck 7 port side and starboard there is one ramp each for parking wheelchairs and watching the show, having signed as reserved for wheelchair.  Deck 6 forward there are 16 seats which are reserved for wheelchair users.

  • You can watch from your wheelchair or mobility scooter – there are designated bays on decks 6 and 7 that give you a great view.
  • Travelling companions can sit nearby – feel free to use the white-backed seats on deck 7 and the aisle seats on deck 6.
  • Guests with limited mobility – the white-backed seats are easier to access if you feel you need this. You’ll find this seating on decks 6 and 7. Easy-access seats are limited, so we would kindly ask that you only use one if you really need to.
  • Please note, reserving seats is not permitted in any venue.

IonaHeadliners Theatre - Located on deck 6 and 7 with approximately 950 seats (TBC).

Wheelchair Spaces - There will be 10 designated wheelchair spaces (location TBC).

 

Oceana - Footlights Theatre – Located on the Promenade Deck with 550 seats.

Wheelchair Spaces - 12 Wheelchairs in Footlights Theatre (6 per side), companions may either stand beside or behind the wheelchair user.  The back three rows port and starboard are displayed with signage for passenger with limited mobility or partners of anyone in a wheelchair. 

In Starlights, we have no steps to the main floor but any spaces where we can place a wheelchair are on a slope. We have a large number of moveable seats that we can adjust to accommodate wheelchairs.

  • Guests with limited mobility – the first three rows of seats at the back of the theatre on deck 7 are easier to access if you feel you need this. Easy-access seats are limited, so we would kindly ask that you only use one if you really need to.

Ventura - Arena Theatre – Located on the Promenade and F deck with 788 seats

Wheelchair Spaces - Prom Deck there is a centre ramp to access port side and starboard side with three wheelchair spaces either side with three accompanying seats either side (6 wheelchairs in total).  The back row has two steps to negotiate on starboard and port side are reserved for passengers with limited mobility. E Deck has no stairs. The end seat of each row is reserved for passengers with wheelchair companions.

  • You can watch from your wheelchair or mobility scooter – there are designated bays at the back of the theatre on decks 6 and 7 that give you a great view.
  • Travelling companions can sit nearby – feel free to use the seats at the back of deck 7 or the seats with mobility signs on deck 6.
  • Guests with limited mobility – the first two rows at the back of deck 7 have seats that are easier to access if you feel you need this. There are also signposted seats on deck 6. Easy-access seats are limited, so we would kindly ask that you only use one if you really need to.
  • Please note, reserving seats is not permitted in any venue.

Wheelchair spaces are available on a first come, first served basis. It is not possible to pre book these spaces or any of the seats in the theatre.

The Theatre companies perform West End style shows regularly throughout each cruise. On a regular 14 night cruise, up to 7 production shows may be performed. Full details of the performances will be made available once on board and vary by ship.

 

There is no set opening time for the theatre, it will open for individual events which can vary day to day. Please see the daily horizon, your on board news paper for entertainment events and times.
