Can I leave my luggage on board if I am travelling on part of a world voyage?
Yes, it may be possible to leave your luggage on board if you are disembarking during a world cruise for collection in Southampton.
This service is dependent on the ship having sufficient storage and a charge of £50 per piece of luggage will be charged to your on board account (subject to change)*.
How to arrange
Please speak to Reception once you are on-board to enquire about availability*. If this service is available, you will be sent details whilst on board detailing what you need to do and when and where your luggage can be collected from, when it returns to Southampton.
Luggage transfer through The Baggage Handling Company
- Guests may want to arrange for their luggage to be transferred from their home to a Southampton terminal via The Baggage Handling Company.
- The service means that luggage will be collected from the guest's home and transported to the port up to 96 hours before the cruise leaves, so the guest doesn’t need to worry about their luggage until they reach their cabin. Safely sealed and stored in a secure facility before departure, the service guarantees complete peace of mind over the security of luggage once in the possession of The Baggage Handling Company.
- On return from the holiday, the guest will be met by a representative in the terminal who will reseal the luggage and return it on the date agreed.
- There is an additional cost to the pre-boarding fee of £50.00 (above) which will be confirmed by The Baggage Handling Company*.
- Guests can arrange for their luggage to be transferred from their home to a Southampton terminal by contacting The Baggage Handling Company on 02380 873111.
