How to receive military benefit

  • Military benefits must be applied to a guest's booking through the Customer Contact Centre for Direct bookings or via the Partnership Helpdesk for travel agent bookings. If the guest has booked through a travel agent, the agent must apply this to the booking.
  • Military benefits can be applied to a booking if the guest is registered with Defence Discount Service (the official MOD discount scheme) and has a Defence Privilege Card, or if the guest has served in the US military.
  • Guests will need to quote their Defence Privilege Card membership number at the time of booking or no later than seven days before departure, along with the promotion code "HMS" for the on board credit to be applied to their booking. It's not possible to apply the military benefit once the guest is on board.
  • Guests may be asked to present their card at the check-in desk on the day of embarkation, so they should take this with them when travelling.
