Who's eligible?
Cunard offers military benefits to UK citizens and those who have served in the US military. We are pleased to offer on board spending money to:
- Retired and disabled veterans
- Serving military
For the following service divisions:
- British Army
- Royal Navy
- Royal Air Force
- Reserves
- Royal Marines
- Merchant Navy
- Home Guard
- US Military
Cunard's military benefit is combinable with the Cunard Fare, Early Saver and Late Saver fares, on board booking benefits and Net Rates.
How to receive military benefit
- Military benefits must be applied to a guest's booking through the Customer Contact Centre for Direct bookings or via the Partnership Helpdesk for travel agent bookings. If the guest has booked through a travel agent, the agent must apply this to the booking.
- Military benefits can be applied to a booking if the guest is registered with Defence Discount Service (the official MOD discount scheme) and has a Defence Privilege Card, or if the guest has served in the US military.
- Guests will need to quote their Defence Privilege Card membership number at the time of booking or no later than seven days before departure, along with the promotion code "HMS" for the on board credit to be applied to their booking. It's not possible to apply the military benefit once the guest is on board.
- Guests may be asked to present their card at the check-in desk on the day of embarkation, so they should take this with them when travelling.
What's the benefit?
The amount of on board spending money per person is applicable for the first and second guests only and depends on the duration of the voyage:

7-13 nights | US$50 per person |
14-21 nights | US$125 per person |
22 nights+(including world cruise) | US$200 per person |
Exclusions
Military benefits are not combinable with partnership benefits, Tesco voucher bookings and friends and family promotions.
Additional Information
Military benefit is combinable with travel agent bookings, however, as on board credit is a financial aspect of the booking, guests must claim this via their travel agent.
