What entertainment and activities are available on board?

Guests will never be bored on board. From relaxing to energetic, we’ve plenty of pastimes to choose from. Guests could take a dip in the pool or whirlpool spa, listen to a guest speaker, take part in a quiz, try a dance lesson, join a fitness class, work out in the gym, watch/play in a sports tournament, watch a movie, get pampered in the spa and so much more. Of course, they may just prefer to relax on deck with a cocktail and a book; they can do as much or as little as they like to fill their day.

The following types of entertainment are offered on the majority of Cunard voyages:

  • Theatre Cabaret musicians or instrumentalists.
  • Films - please see  "What films are shown on board?".
  • Musical theatre, Production Shows and Cunard Showcases - please see "Is there a theatre on board?".
  • Royal Shakespeare Company offering plays, workshops and poetry readings on selected Queen Mary 2 Transatlantic crossings.
  • Pools and spa.
  • Guest Speakers covering a range of subjects, including: exploration, current affairs, maritime history, wellbeing and astronomy - please see "Who will be the Guest Speakers on board?".
  • A creative arts instructor.
  • Bridge instructors.
  • Nightclub available on all ships.
  • Live music, including classical concerts. The classical concerts are usually not pre-bookable and are held in the afternoon on sea days. The artistes choose their music, so we can't guarantee what they will play.
  • Please note, entertainment is often increased throughout the World Voyages.

Please refer to the Daily Programme each day for the full listing of all entertainment and activities being offered throughout the day and night. Most shows are repeated in the evening to give everyone the opportunity to see the acts on board.  On port days, guests can still take advantage of a number of activities.

Please be aware that when pre-booking entertainment in My Cunard, the reservation will only show in the "My Orders" section for the guest who made the order, even if a guest made a reservation for multiple guests on the booking.
