What television / smart devices facilities are available in my cabin?

A range of channels are available on your television in your stateroom which include:

CNN International Drama/action films
BBC World Cunardia
The Art Channel German Film
TNT French Film
Sky News Spanish Film
ESPN International English Film
ITV (satellite permitting) Music channels
Discovery Channel Ship Web cams
Lecture Channel Navigational channel
Comedy Channels Discover channel
BBC HD ITV Choice

 

In addition, there is a dedicated sports channel - Sport 24 which offers coverage of many sporting events. Sport 24 is shown in selected bars on board and is not available via in cabin televisions. Please see Can I watch sport onboard? for further details.

All TV channels are complimentary and are dependant on satellite signals.

 

Size of the television

Television sizes in staterooms on each ship are detailed below:

Queen Elizabeth
  • Grand & Master Suites have a 40" and a 32" television (32" with combined DVD player)
  • Penthouse & Queens Suites have a 32" television with combined DVD player
  • Britannia Balcony Staterooms have a 32" television
  • Princess Suites have two 32" televisions
  • All other cabins have a 32" television
Queen Mary 2
  • Suites have 40" televisions
  • Mini suites have 32" televisions
  • Standard staterooms are 28" televisions
Queen Victoria
  • Grand / Master / Penthouse & Queens Suites - Televisions in these suites vary from 46", 32" or 26" and an additional 26" television
  • Princess Grills Suites have two 19" or 22" televisions
  • Balcony Staterooms have either 19" or 22" television
  • All other staterooms have either a 19" or a 22" television

 

Subtitles

We provide a subtitled version of the Guest Safety video which is available in all cabins.

Subtitles for other programmes are not available.

 

Type of connections

Smart Devices (iPods | iPads | Tablets | Smartphones )

Queen Victoria & Queen Elizabeth

These ships have a variety of different televisions. You will only be able to plug any smart devices in as long as they have the following connections HDMI, VGA, S-Video, Component Video, Composite Video, Head Phone Jack and TV Antenna Input. 

Connection sockets on the interactive televisions in some staterooms are used to enable the use of the interactive systems used on board for facilities. We therefore request that these connection points are not altered.

Queen Mary 2

This ship does not have any interactive televisions, the only connection the televisions have are with 'F' type connectors at each end. Therefore, you will be unable to connect any smart device.

 

DVD Players

Region 1 (US) DVD players can be found in the following suites:

Queen Elizabeth
  • DVD players are available upon request for Queens Gill Suites only (Grades Q1 to Q6 & P1 to P2)
Queen Victoria
  • Queens Grill Suites only (Grades Q1 to Q7)
Queen Mary 2
  • Queens Gill Suites (Q1 to Q4)
  • DVD players can be requested (subject to availability) for those in Q5 to Q7 grades and Princess Grill suites. Requests should be made via Concierge once on board.
