What is the role of the Butler on board?
Butlers are on board for our Queens Grill guests. They can assist with packing and unpacking, room service, assist with bookings, cocktail parties in your suite and cleaning the room. All butlers have a bleeper and there is always a butler on duty between 7.00am and 10.00pm.
The services of a butler are available to guests booked into a Queens Grill suite. Their role is to maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the suite and immediate areas including:
- Bed making
- Floral arrangements in co-operation with the Florist
- Ensuring all suites are supplied daily with amenities to meet the required company standard; such as tissues, toiletries and stationery
- Ensuring room service orders are served course by course for lunch/dinner or as a guest wishes
- Providing a packing and unpacking service to each guest if requested
- Escorting guests directly from check-in to their suite (Q1 - Q4 only)
- Hosting guests with in-suite cocktail parties (organise and service if requested)
- Providing each guest with individual canapés each evening before cocktails
- Assisting each guest when requested (message delivery, assist in dressing for cocktail parties)
- Ensuring that all newspapers / Daily Programme and guest personal mail is delivered to suites
Your butler will introduce themselves to you on embarkation day, when you can confirm your requirements and special requests. Of course, if you prefer not to have their assistance during your cruise, this is perfectly acceptable and you can advise them at the time.
