What facilities and services do the spa and salon offer?

In collaboration with our partner OneSpaWorld, we are delighted to introduce ‘Mareel Wellness & Beauty’. A new holistic wellness and beauty experience that is exclusive to Cunard. Combining Cunard’s expertise in luxury ocean travel, with the expertise of OneSpaWorld in wellness and beauty, Mareel Wellness & Beauty will offer guests bespoke and exclusive medi spa, acupuncture,  spa, beauty and fitness services.

A range of massage treatments are available from the spa. Guests should be reminded that they should have adequate medical insurance before travelling as services from the Medical Team can be expensive.

 

Spa Passes

Includes use of Aqua Therapy Centre including whirlpool, aqua therapy pool with chaise lounge, neck and back jet massage, cascading waterfall shower, reflexology basins, sensory showers, Finnish sauna, aromatic steam room, herbal sauna and ice fountain. Bathing suit required.

Please note: Spa passes are not currently available to book prior to your cruise, you can purchase a pass via the Spa reception desk once you are on board. 
 

Therapists

Yes, both male and female therapists are on board some ships, although majority are female.

The male therapists that we have are either hairdressers, nail technicians massage therapists, chiropractors or fitness instructors - we do not have male facial therapists. 

 

Hair Salon

Hair services, including styling, colouring and conditioning treatments are available. Please see the Spa Guides above and pre booking information below for details.

Guests are advised to book hair appointments early for formal nights as these days can be very busy.

We can also advise Kerastase products are utilised on board.

The make-up* you can purchase in our shops on board are:

Delilah Makeup is used in our salons for makeovers and also sold in the shops on board all ships.

On Queen Mary 2 a range of 'Mii' cosmetics are used and are available to purchase (Subject to availability).

You can book treatments and via the Spa reception desk once you are on board.

 

Charges

The charges for your chosen spa or salon service will be added to your on board account.

Please note that all prices are per person, prices and opening times are subject to change. Proper gym attire should be worn to utilise the gym.

For those who are confined to a wheelchair, it is not possible to provide assistance onto the loungers in the Retreat. If you have a carer, they would be granted free access to the Retreat when accompanying a wheelchair confined passenger purchasing a spa package, however they would not be able to obtain the benefits attached to the package.

Access to the Oasis Pool: We are unable to offer access to the Thermal Suite for those who are confined to a wheelchair or service animals.

Fitness Classes - We are unable to offer these to those who are wheelchair confined or have restricted vision. 
Access to the Thermal Suite: We are unable to offer access to the Thermal Suite to those guests who are confined to a wheelchair or service animals.
Salon treatments: most of our salon treatment, hair services and manicures are available, you will be able to move in your wheelchair in this area. Pedicures would not be able to be performed if you need to be moved form the wheelchair, 
Spa treatments: Reflexology can be offered as you can stay seated in your wheelchair. For those who are confined to a wheelchair, it is not possible to provide assistance onto the treatment room beds unless you have a career who would be able to assistance in moving you onto a bed.

Fitness Classes: We are unable to offer these to those who are wheelchair confined or have restricted vision.
Access to the Aqua therapy suite: for guests that are confined to a wheelchair, it is not possible to provide assistance onto the loungers in the Retreat. If you have a career, they would be granted free access to the Retreat when accompanying a wheelchair confined guest purchasing a spa package, however they would not be able to obtain the benefits attached to the package.
Access to the Aqua therapy Pool: We have a pool ADA hoist available and the spa attendants are fully trained in using this hoist in order to assist guests
The Spa: the spa treatment rooms and salon facilities available for guests that are wheelchair users

 

Queen Victoria


Fitness Classes - We are unable to offer these to those who are wheelchair confined or have restricted vision.
The Spa: has disabled access to the rooms, changing rooms and the showers have seats in them. We also have an disabled toilet and access to the Thermal suite but no access to the hydrapool because of having no hoist system.
Salon treatments: we are able to adapt most of the treatments we provide
Gym: has disabled access to the rooms, changing rooms and showers have seats in them and access to a disabled toilet.
