What activities are available for children on board and is there a Children's Club?

Children of all ages are welcome on our ships, and our dedicated clubs offer tailored activities and entertainment. These include arts and crafts, sporting activities, play areas, computer games and much more.  They can make friends with other children at The Play Zone, for two-seven year olds, The Kids' Zone, for eight-12 year olds and The Teen Zone for teenagers 13-17. Please note that for operational reasons, age groups may occasionally be mixed.

Our Youth Team have extensive experience of planning and facilitating activities for two-17 year olds, as well as having an enhanced DBS check. The Youth Staff will supervise your children, organise events, activities and competitions, and even "excursions" to the theatre or cinema on board. Children from six-23 months are welcome to join in the fun, with parental supervision. 

To make use of the youth facilities on board, you must complete a registration form for your child/ren. This can be completed prior to your voyage at D-15 using My Cunard. Once on board you will be able to book sessions when on board via the holiday planner My Voyage. 

Opening hours

Operating hours are subject to change, dependent on voyage itinerary, the ship and the seasonal period. Hours will be clearly advertised and made available on board through the ship’s Daily Programme

Security features

Our facilities feature secure entry systems to allow authorised entry only. Children aged 12 years and below are required to be checked in and out of their age-specific club by one of their registered carers. This means that only pre-authorised adults will be able to collect your child/ren from the clubs. Please ensure that parents/carers who are collecting the child/ren have their ship ID available for inspection.

Please note that at least one parent or guardian must remain on board with your child at all times and guests under the age of 18 years may not sign children out of the youth facilities.

Note that the exact age groupings will depend on the number of children travelling on any particular voyage.

Our numbers will be limited so we recommend registering on My Cunard before your voyage to avoid disappointment. You can register your child from 15 days before sailing.

Six to 23 months Night Nursery

Enjoy your holiday even more, knowing that your little ones have a safe place to sleep each evening. There's a great sense of freedom to be had when you can enjoy drinks, dinner or a show knowing that your little ones are sleeping soundly. Available on a first come, first served basis, our free-of-charge Night Nursery equips you with a pager, so we can contact you if needs be. Alternatively, if you let us know your plans, we'll come and find you. For that extra peace of mind, professional childminders are on hand. Suitable for children aged 6 to 23 months and open from 6.00pm to 11.00pm. Please note: there may be certain cruises where we are unfortunately unable to run an on board Night Nursery; if this is the case, you will be informed via email in advance of your voyage.
Two to seven years The Play Zone

The Play Zone is a fully supervised play area which younger members of your family will just love. They're sure to have a fun-filled holiday with the structured activities provided by our fully trained Youth Team - including themed days, arts and crafts, games, books, puzzles, toys and computer games. There's even a sheltered outdoor play area with a range of play equipment such as cars and tricycles. Infants from 6 months to 23 months are welcome to join in the fun, with parental supervision.
Eight to twelve years The Kids Zone

Kids aged eight to twelve will experience the time of their lives with the games and activities available in this dedicated area. Our Youth Team provides the supervision and organises events so that each action-packed day has something for everyone including sports, arts and crafts, friendly challenges and, of course, games consoles. 
Thirteen to seventeen years The Teen Zone

Teens in your party will have a whale of a time in this dedicated club for 13 to 17 year-olds. They can enjoy deck sports, discos, gaming consoles, quizzes and much more - ensuring an action-packed holiday. They'll also appreciate the special Teen Zone area where they can challenge each other to the latest video games as well as the table tennis tournaments and team games we organise.
