What is the role of the Butler on board?

Butlers are available to guests travelling in a Suite. They will be available between 7am and 10pm. Outside of these hours, service is available from your Cabin Steward or Room Service.

The services your butler can provide are as follows:

  • The packing and unpacking of your luggage.
  • Booking salon or spa treatments on your behalf, providing an appointment is available.
  • Arranging pre-dinner cocktail parties. A list of canap├ęs is placed in your cabin for such events.
  • Ordering a cake or flowers for a special occasion. Sufficient notice will need to be given for this.
  • Supplying a range of in-cabin meals, from a light snack to a full meal with fine wines.
  • Laundry services.
  • Reception services such as cashing cheques, registering your credit card, exchanging currency and buying stamps, etc.
  • Shoe shine service.
  • Arranging the personalisation of your cabin stationery.
  • Booking any chosen Shore Experiences
  • Providing you with a complimentary newspaper in the ports of call where they are available.
  • Making reservations for dinner in one of the themed or alternative dining venues on board - space permitting.

Should you require further assistance from your butler, please feel free to ask as they will do their best to exceed your expectations. Of course, if you prefer not to have their assistance during your cruise, this is perfectly acceptable and you can advise them at the time.

Once you have embarked, those guests travelling in a Suite will be directed to the priority embarkation lounge where your butler will introduce themselves to you and escort you to your Suite.

Each butler looks after 10 suites and will require approximately 10 to 15 minutes to escort you and confirm your requirements before returning to the location as above and repeating the process for the next guest(s).

A buffet luncheon and complimentary drinks are served to all Suite guests. At around 1pm the butler starts escorting the guests to their cabins.
