What activities are available on board?
You’ll never be bored on board. From relaxing to energetic, we have plenty of pastimes to choose from. You could take a dip in the pool or whirlpool spa, listen to a guest speaker, take part in a quiz, try a dance lesson, join a fitness class, work out in the gym, watch/play in a sports tournament, head to the cinema, sink into the spa and more… Of course, you may just prefer to relax on deck with a cocktail and a book; you can do as much or as little as you like. On port days, should you wish to stay on board, you can still take advantage of a reduced range of activities. Please refer to your daily Horizon paper when you get on board for details.
Things to do on board and current protocol:
Sports: Our sports courts will be open and run by our friendly crew. You can book a slot, sign out equipment and play with your household or travelling group.
Theatre: Headliners Theatre Company perform incredible original shows regularly throughout each cruise. Further details of show times and how to book these performances and more can be found on My P&O Cruises and once on board, the guest portal My Holiday or Horizon newspaper.
Dance classes: We will be running dance classes, bookable on board. To maintain social distancing, we will be offering a reduced capacity and dance partners must be from your household or travelling group.
Live music: There will be a huge range of live music on your cruise from buskers to live bands, tribute acts to singers – you’ll find plenty to enjoy.
Things to note:
- All activities will run in accordance with the latest guidelines and with our new protocols in place to protect the health and well-being of our guests and crew. These will be scheduled throughout your holiday and hosted by our Entertainment team.
- Only activities or areas of the ship that would make social distancing difficult will not be in operation.
- Unfortunately organised card games such as bridge are currently suspended in line with our health and well-being protocols, however there are a variety of popular board games available to borrow.
- Unfortunately we aren’t able to offer pool events (such as AquaFit) due to social distancing requirements.
