What flying options are available on my cruise?

We use a range of airlines for our fly-cruise holidays, which vary depending on your destination.

All fly-cruise holiday prices include economy class flights from/to London and transfers between the overseas airport and your ship on the day of embarkation/disembarkation.

The below guide will explain where we fly from, and which airlines we use.

Mediterranean fly-cruise holidays

For our Mediterranean fly-cruise holidays, we use a mixture of charter and scheduled carriers including TUI Airways (TOM), Jet2 (LS), easyJet (EZY) and Air Malta (KM).

We are pleased to be able to offer return flights from seven UK air cities on all cruises: Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Newcastle.

Caribbean fly-cruise holidays

For our long-haul Caribbean fly-cruise holidays, we charter aircraft from TUI Airways (TOM). On occasion we’ll also use British Airways (BA) and Virgin Atlantic (VS) scheduled flights. We are pleased to be able to offer premium economy flight upgrades on our charter flights which can be added when you book your cruise, subject to availability.

Flights are available from a range of UK airports, which vary by ship and cruise itinerary.  You'll find further details of available departure airports when you select the 'See available airports' option, after selecting your desired cruise on our website.

World cruises

For our world cruises, the airlines we use vary depending on the destination; we use reputable carriers such as British Airways (BA), Emirates (EK) and Qatar Airways (QR).

  • As you are travelling further afield, we want to be as flexible as possible so you can make the most of your holiday. Where flight schedules permit, we can offer flights from any UK airport. Additional supplements may apply.
  • When you make your booking, simply advise your booking agent which airport you would like to fly from and whether you would like one-way or return flights, and your preferred departure airport.
  • Should you wish to extend your holiday or explore further we'll arrange flights to fit around a Land Tour or City Stay or, should you wish to explore independently, we can book flights so you arrive early (or fly home later), you can book a stopover on selected routes, or if you prefer, you can fly to/from an alternative air city.
  • Flights are offered subject to availability and airline schedules available at the time of booking.

Domestic flights to/from Southampton

We are able to offer Logan Air for Edinburgh, Newcastle and Glasgow.

All fly-cruise holidays

For all fly-cruise holidays, the available carrier and aircraft will vary by cruise, departure date and UK departure airport.

If you wish to tailor your flights, we can arrange for you to travel with your preferred airline, book a stop-over (on World cruises) or upgrade your flight. Contact either your travel agent or call our Customer Contact Centre on 03453 555 111 (local call charges apply). Scheduled flight details and upgrades are available approximately 11 months prior to departure.

Once your flights are confirmed, you will be able to find your flight details via My P&O Cruises.

Please note:

  • The flights you are allocated will depend upon availability at the time you make your cruise booking.
  • Occasionally airlines make changes to their schedules over which P&O Cruises has no control, in which case an alternative flight may need to be provided.
  • P&O Cruises has no control over which aircraft the airline uses, so the configuration and seat pitch can vary.
  • If your journey is made up of more than one flight sector, such as a regional UK flight to London to meet an international connection, it is unlikely that the same aircraft type will be used for the whole journey.
