What flying options are available on my cruise?

We use a range of airlines for our fly-cruise holidays, which vary depending on your destination.

All fly-cruise holiday prices include economy class flights from/to London and transfers between the overseas airport and your ship on the day of embarkation/disembarkation.

The below guide will explain where we fly from, and which airlines we use.

Mediterranean fly-cruise holidays

For our Mediterranean fly-cruise holidays, we use a mixture of charter and scheduled carriers including TUI Airways (TOM), Jet2 (LS), easyJet (EZY) and Air Malta (KM).

We are pleased to be able to offer return flights from eight UK air cities on all cruises: Belfast*, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, London, Manchester and Newcastle.

*Please note that Belfast flights are only available on cruises which start and end in Valletta.

Caribbean fly-cruise holidays

For our long-haul Caribbean fly-cruise holidays, we charter aircraft from TUI Airways (TOM) . On occasion we’ll also use British Airways (BA) and Virgin Atlantic (VS) scheduled flights. We are pleased to be able to offer premium economy flight upgrades on our charter flights which can be added when you book your cruise, subject to availability.

Flights are available from a range of UK airports, which vary by ship and cruise itinerary.  You'll find further details of available departure airports when you select the 'See available airports' option, after selecting your desired cruise on our website.

Dubai & Arabian Gulf fly-cruise holidays

For our Dubai & Arabian Gulf fly-cruises, we use scheduled carries including Emirates (EK) and British Airways (BA).

We are pleased to be able to offer return flights from our four UK air cities on all cruises; Birmingham, Glasgow, London and Manchester.

Exotic fly-cruises

For our Exotic fly-cruises, the airlines we use vary depending on the destination; we use reputable carriers such as British Airways (BA), Emirates (EK) and Qatar Airways (QR).

As you are travelling further afield, we want to be as flexible as possible so you can make the most of your holiday.

Where flight schedules permit, we can offer flights from any UK airport. Additional supplements may apply.

When you make your booking, simply advise your booking agent which airport you would like to fly from and whether you would like one-way or return flights, and your preferred departure airport.

Should you wish to extend your holiday or explore further we'll arrange flights to fit around a Land Tour or City Stay or, should you wish to explore independently, we can book flights so you arrive early (or fly home later), you can book a stopover on selected routes, or if you prefer, you can fly to/from an alternative air city.

Flights are offered subject to availability and airline schedules available at the time of booking.

Domestic flights to/from Southampton

Domestic flight availability varies by departure date and all flights are subject to the latest airline schedules.

All fly-cruise holidays

For all fly-cruise holidays, the available carrier and aircraft will vary by cruise, departure date and UK departure airport.

If you wish to tailor your flights, we can arrange for you to travel with your preferred airline, book a stop-over (on Exotic fly-cruises) or upgrade your flight. Contact either your travel agent or call our Customer Contact Centre on 03453 555 111 (local call charges apply). Scheduled flight details and upgrades are available approximately 11 months prior to departure.

Once your flights are confirmed, you will be able to find your flight details via My P&O Cruises.

  • Please note:

    • The flights you are allocated will depend upon availability at the time you make your cruise booking.
    • Occasionally airlines make changes to their schedules over which P&O Cruises has no control, in which case an alternative flight may need to be provided.
    • P&O Cruises has no control over which aircraft the airline uses, so the configuration and seat pitch can vary.
    • If your journey is made up of more than one flight sector, such as a regional UK flight to London to meet an international connection, it is unlikely that the same aircraft type will be used for the whole journey.

    Guaranteed Flight Option

When you or your travel agent books one of our fly-cruise holidays, you may be offered the 'Guaranteed Flight' option, which is also referred to as air city 'QQQ'. This means that you will have a confirmed booking, including flights, but the specific UK airport will be allocated at a later date. Flights will be allocated to your booking at least 7 days prior to departure and the price you have been quoted will not increase. It is recommended you waitlist your preferred UK airport at time of booking.  We will do our best to allocate flights from your preferred UK airport, but we cannot guarantee this.

All people booked under the same booking will be allocated the same flights; however we may not be able to allocate the same flights to groups who have booked multiple cabins.
