How are tables allocated for dining?

With our different pricing types:

Select Fares

Guests will have priority over other booking types as one of the included benefits. This will mean that you will be able to choose a dining option and table size at time of booking and subject to availability, this will be confirmed for you (with the exception of tables for two, which will be confirmed once on board). 

Availability is allocated in booking date order. 

Early Saver Fares

You will have the option to submit your dining preference, at the end of the booking process when booking online or via the Cruise Personaliser or My P&O Cruises. Your preference will not be confirmed until once on board and after those guests on Select Fare bookings have been allocated. 

Please note that submitting your preference does not guarantee your preferred option will be granted. 

Promotional fares

Your dining will be allocated once on board. There is not an option to submit your preference on this fare type. 

 

If you are travelling with family or friends and wish to dine together, your bookings will need to be linked. This can be done at time of booking or at a later date by calling our Customer Contact Centre. All bookings must have the same dining link code to enable the Restaurant Manager to allocate you a table together. Please note, groups larger than eight will be split over two or more tables and the Restaurant Manager will do their best to allocated tables next to each other. We cannot guarantee that guests who are travelling on Early Saver or other promotional fares will be able to sit together.

 

If you have opted for / been allocated Freedom dining, then when you arrive at the dining room, you will be asked how many people are in your party and if you would like to share a table with other diners. The choice is yours and a table will be allocated depending on your choice. At times, there may not be a table available for you (for example, if you wish to just have a table for two). If this is the case, you will be given a pager and you will be notified when your table is ready.
